    When you rise up in the morning ¶ And looking for a cure ...

    When you rise up in the morning
    And looking for a cure
    Just square your yards and set your sails
    And head for Magherintoor.
    When you get a half-one there
    Just scud across the moss
    And then you will meet a hardy man
    When you meet old "Scud across".
    He is a canny-going gentleman
    Never was too rash
    He will put you in good form
    And he will send you to Clonglash.
    From that to Drumindoire
    A place of great renown
    When you get a half-one there
    You will never reach the town.
    You'll be lying over in Clamperland
    With your heels above your head
    The fir block for your pillow
    And the heather for your bed.
