  1. Once upon a time there lived in Clontallagh an old couple John and Mary Ferry. John was a weaver and Mary used to card and spin for John. The old couple lived in a single apartment with a bed in the corner.
    Mary used to make the bed every day and this was going on for a while until one day there arose an argument between the old couple about which of them would make the bed that day.
    The argument continued for a while until they decided on a plan and this was whichever of them would speak
