    When he would get a loaf or any thing like that he would get a bag and put them into it and tie the mouth of the bag. He then put the bag on a big hook in the roof, so that no cat or dog could reach it.
    They used fir as a light long ago.
    They put the fir in a hole in the wall and when it was burned out they put in another plank.
