  1. In Ballyvooney there are the ruins of an old monastery and schools, who once belonged to monks called the "Nights Templars". There was a lovely statue in this monastery of the body of Our Lord laid on Our Lady's lap. On a Summer's day rise graves can be seen there which are said to the graves of rise monks.
