  1. Long ago there was an old woman who used to go from house to house but she spent all her time mostly in Carrig-Morna. Her name was Mrs. O'Meara, but she was better known as "Biddy na Donnette", because she always wore a plaid shawl and a little bonnet.
    She was a nice respectable little woman and the people always liked her to come because she used to spin a lot for them on Winter nights.
