    If a person yawned they would make the sign of the cross on their mouth.
    If the woman of house was churning, and a stanger to come in, he would have to churn a while for fear he would bring away the butter.
    If a person go into a house for a coal the people of the house would not give him a coal unless he would in a sod of turf.
    If you give away a coal on May day you will have no butter for the whole year.
    The people do not throw out anything on New year's day; if they did they would throw away their luck.
    If you saw a man working you would say "God bless the work."
    If a coal fell out of the fire they would say that a stanger was coming to the house.
    If you went into a house you would say, "God save all here.
