  1. Wild Birds of this District
    ________________
    There are three classes of wild birds in this district:- song birds, game birds, and migratory birds.
    The song birds are, (Pheasants) Thrushes, Blackbirds, Robins, Larks, and Wrens.
    The game birds are, Pheasants, Partridge, Grouse, Woodcocks, Wild Geese, Wild Ducks, Snipe, Curlews, and the three species of Plover.
    The migratory birds are, Swallows, Snipe, Cuckoos, Corncrakes, Wild Ducks, and Wild Geese.
    Besides these there are a few others; - Sparrows, Starlings, Wagtails, Goldfinch, Rooks, Jackdaws, Magpies, Owls, Swans and Water Hens.
    The most numerous of these are:- Thrushes, Blackbirds, Larks, Robins, Wrens, Curlews, Snipe, Plover, Swallows, Cuckoos, Corncrakes, Sparrows, Starlings, Rooks, Jackdaws, Magpies, and Water hens.
