    up the hole, and put another stone behind the standing stone. To this day the prop can be seen, on the east side of it. The standing stone is inclined slightly, towards the east.
    This district was certainly populated in pre-historic times, as is proved by the number of antique things discovered here, of late - an urn, sword, arrow-head, and Ogham stone.
    On the Ordance survey map, of the district, the Ogham stone is marked, as, "Standing Stone".
