I will convert myself into a Church and change you into a priest, and of your whip I will make a clerk. When our pursuers come to the church they will enter and inquire of you if you have seen any horseman pass this way and you must say yes.”In a short time the two greyhounds came racing up and having resumed their human shape entered the church and met the priest. The little Dwarf King asked if he had seen any horseman pass that way and the priest said: “Yes – a very noble horseman passed this way about an hour ago riding in great haste northwards.”“Thank you”, said the little Dwarf King and left the church with his Queen.No sooner were they outside then they took again the shape of greyhounds and flew northwards.(continues on next page)
