    the whole affair. So good-bye now, dear Prince; my time is due and I must go”. And so she disappeared.
    The Prince, overjoyed at the good encouragement he had got from the Princess sat down and fell fast asleep, and next morning at the break of day the little Dwarf King knocked at his sleeping-room door.
    “Are you asleep?” he said.
    “Not now” said the Prince
    “Well then, get up.” Said the Dwarf King, “I have some work for you to do.”
    So the Prince arose in the best of spirits and the same kind of meal was prepared for him – a few grains of oat-meal toasted on the little old griddle.
    “Take your breakfast” said the King “before you begin your work”.
    “Thank you”, said the Prince.
    Well, when the breakfast was over the little Dwarf King came along carrying a dung fork in his hand.
