- (continued from previous page)as he was practising in the ball-court he saw coming towards him a very peculiar little man dressed in royal attire. As he drew near him the little man saluted the prince and bid him “Good morning”. “Good morning kindly” said the young prince. “I see” said the little man “you are a famous ball-player”. “Not so bad” said the young prince. “So far I have not met any man who can compete with me”. “That’s very good indeed”, remarked the little man, “but if I were as young as you I would venture a game with you, and old and all as I am, I dare say I could give you a good game”.“Well”, said the prince, “there is no harm in having just one game for fun”.“Agreed on” said the little man, and so they played a game for fun and when the prince was 21 the little man was 15.“Well”, said the little man, “I think I would give you a better game next time as the last game was just for practice”.
