As he drew near him the little man saluted the prince and bid him “Good morning”. “Good morning kindly” said the young prince. “I see” said the little man “you are a famous ball-player”. “Not so bad” said the young prince. “So far I have not met any man who can compete with me”. “That’s very good indeed”, remarked the little man, “but if I were as young as you I would venture a game with you, and old and all as I am, I dare say I could give you a good game”.“Well”, said the prince, “there is no harm in having just one game for fun”.“Agreed on” said the little man, and so they played a game for fun and when the prince was 21 the little man was 15.“Well”, said the little man, “I think I would give you a better game next time as the last game was just for practice”.
