ago the church was finally closed to Servioce the only Protstant family in the district attending Service (occasionally) at the Christ's Church Castlebar.
After the death of Rev. Mr. Lynch the Glebe lands and house passed into the hands of another Protestant - a Mr Moroney. But about a dozen years ago he sold out and the place and house are now in Catholic hands.
The Church still stands an ugly squat but substantial building with a square tower. Its seems in good repair, and being well situated and well sheltered is likely to stand for a long time to come, unless the hand of man be raised against it.
