    When she came back there was no gold to be found.
    But on every bush in the village there was a rope.
    Ever afterwards the village was called Cloonboorka or the meadow of the Spancels.
    Cloonborka is in the Parish of Burriscarra, or as it is generally called the Parish of Carnacon. about six miles - Irish - from Castlebar.
    It is situated in Barony of Carra.
